I'm sort off in the swing of things so why not write another random post. You've probably heard the saying: "Knowledge is power", well today I will discuss exactly that with you. My opinion on it might be somewhat different from the norm.
If your someone that reads hundreds of books per year, a regular book worm let me ask you this: Are you overall healthy, fit and have you had lots of success in life? I truly believe that with anything else in life too much of a good thing can become a bad thing. I have no doubt in my mind that reading is good for you but to what extent? I can already here the nay sayers screaming: "Knowledge is power". Well yes it is, if you apply it...
What's the point if you have tons of knowledge but don't apply it, practice it and master it. Does someone get fit or stronger by just looking at weights? No, they do it by working out, mastering their skills and improving on what they've learned. So what's the point of being a complete book worm if you suck at everything else? At what point in life do you realize that you have to put down that book and start living your life, start doing stuff, practicing hobbies, improve yourself and take action? Okay I know it's probably hard to apply knowledge when your reading fictional or autobiographies of people like The Book Thief PDF and the Gone Girl Book PDF but the same can't be said for a self help book like The Power Of Now PDF.
Ahh damn, this post is starting to feel like a complete rant! So sorry I'm just tired of people assuming that they are special when they know stuff you don't because they've read countless of hours of books. We are all special and what's makes us different from one another is those that choose to apply the knowledge they got from books and those that do nothing with it and just pick up another books.
Guess this is true for many things in life. Look at me now, I've transformed this post about reading and books into a complete life lesson. Oh well that's what a blog is for, right?
Here's another controversial video that talks about if knowledge really means power.
