I'd like to welcome you to Books Magazine, my own blog about everything related to book, reading, gaining knowledge and more. In my first post I'm going to write about knowledge, how we perceive it and if its really that important and how reading had evolved over the years.
From a young age kids, including myself, are told that reading is good for you. Some parents even go as far as to forcing their children to read books. I'm not talking about teaching kids to read, obviously that's majorly important. I'm talking about when kids reach their pre-teens and all they want to do it hang out with friends and not do any work, especially not reading. When I was younger I hated the idea of reading and in a sense till this date I still struggle with the idea of reading books everyday.
However we have evolved as a generation, information is now more widely available than ever before. The internet is like a big books where you can scroll through thousands upon thousands of pages full of information where their is a mixture between useful and completely useless crap. On a day to day basis I don't read much books, but on the internet I read pages upon pages. And the best thing of all it that I actually like it.
Although book sales are still very popular I think that reading books online, in eBook or Pdf format has completely taken over the reading community. Take a look at Amazon, their are millions of books available to not only buy but download directly to your kindle with a push of a button. Like some of my favorites including The Giver PDF Book, The Book Thief and more. It's amazing the amount of information that one is able to obtain freely or with a few bucks in the bank. Anyway that's my first and little random post for the Book Magazine blog. If your looking for more review based blog posts you can check out these websites below.
